Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyse you, they're supposed to help you discover your true abilities. And for Ravinder Zutshi, Deputy Managing Director, Samsung India, challenges are just a way of life, through which, he has proved his abilities umpteen number of times - a mark of true man indeed! Few people know that Zutshi has been with Samsung India Electronics since its inception way back in December 1995. And his is the perfect example of how to work one's way up in an MNC through sheer hard work and perseverance.

In fact, Zutshi has been instrumental in establishing Samsung's vast Sales and Distribution network in the country and shaping the Company's marketing and communication strategies. Hence it was no surprise when the company, after going through a turbulent phase in the beginning of 2005, appointed him as Deputy Managing Director in April. "My focus would be to make this organization even more customer focused in terms of our products and services, so that we can establish Samsung as a technology leader in the country," he said after his appointment.

Zutshi, who has over 30 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, and also holds the position of Vice President (North), Consumer Electronics and TV Manufacturers Association (CETMA) is known for his aggressive marketing blitzes. A man known for his administrative and organizational abilities, Zutshi is working hard to expand the company's IT business to over 30 percent before the end of 2005. A gem of a man, Zutshi is also helping refurbish company's strategies along with his core team.

In fact, the current IT Business Division of Samsung India is structured into Value and Volume Business with Zutshi leading the team. Throwing light on Samsung's efforts to keep its IT division united and to ensure that everybody contributed their best to carry forward the brand image, Zutshi says, "We look for values such as honesty, integrity and loyalty in our employees who do not compromise on our value systems. We are working towards setting up a robust system." A vital force, who has helped the Company put behind its turbulent phase, Samsung, under the leadership of Zutshi sees fulfillment of its long-term ambition. No doubt, after having created a vivacious market for Samsung, the expectations from Zutshi can't be far less.
