His dexterity has put the port into the map of world's top 30 ports.

Equipped with world-class state-of-the-art equipment and technology and efficient, professional and computer integrated terminal operation systems, under the able stewardship of Buddhiraja, the port is committed to meeting the needs and expectations of its customers. Indeed, quality and customers' satisfaction are his top most priorities. Under his leadership, JNPT will definitely sail through and will even tide over the stormiest ever weather in the high sea of corporate world. The year 2003-04 has indeed been a year of significant achievement.

During that year, the port had handled 31.261 million tonnes of cargo as against the target of 29.700 million tonnes set by the Ministry of Shipping (MoS) thereby registering increase of 5.26% over the previous year. JNPT registered the growth rate of 16.46% when compared with the total throughput of 26.844 million tonnes handled during the previous year 2002-03. And the kudos for such a splendid achievement goes to none other than dynamic Budhiraja.

He has plans to develop an Integrated Chemical Terminal for handling Liquefied Natural Gas and all grades of liquids/chemicals including refrigerated /pressurized liquefied gases. He never compromises on quality and thanks to his constant endeavour, JNPT conforms to international standards and offers services at competitive rates. He is a workaholic and has inculcated a deeper sense of healthy work culture among officials through constantly upgrading the competence, awareness, skills and motivation of the port personnel.
