A man is known by his work, his achievements and his steely resolve to reach great heights. Pramod Mittal, CEO, Global Steel Holdings Limited, is one of those corporate leaders, who exemplify these qualities to the fullest. It's therefore no wonder that Pramod has already chiseled out a niche for himself in the steel world. But there is one dream he still cherishes and has kept it close to his heart: a dream to join the league of bigwigs of the global steel powers. Taking a leaf from the steel icon Lakshmi Mittal, Pramod, the younger sibling of the global steel leader, wants to create a global empire of steel of his own. And the kind of guts and strategic move, this leader has shown, the dream shall no longer remain a dream. Armed with a diploma in Business Management, this ambitious CEO has been at the helm of the company for decades and steering the Global Steel Holdings Limited through rough weathers. He has helped the company making strides in the global competitive world.

A commerce graduate from the St Xavier's College, Kolkata, Pramod is also known to have a heart of gold. He has also been the Honorary Consul of Mexico at Kolkata and a Member of Young Presidents' Organization and various clubs and charitable institutions. An avid golf and squash player, the versatile CEO has a penchant for vintage cars as well taking time off from the busy schedule. Pramod is indeed in high spirits after having acquired CSKA Sofia, a premier division of Bulgarian football club in a deal estimated at 14 million Euros. Obviously, the acquisition made a splash in the international media. Pramod already operates a steel mill in Bulgaria, as he is the younger sibling of Lakshmi Mittal. The Mittal sobriquet and the fact that he is the first Indian to own a top flight European club has given him the profile of a successful international tycoon. Known for his sharp intelligence, Pramod has been successfully steering the company and his steel empire grew 15 times since he got into business 15 years ago.

From running a steel mill owned by his father Mohan Lal Mittal to owning steel mills all over the world, including Libya, Bosnia, the Philippines and Nigeria, this steel man has indeed come a long way. And today, Pramod is determined to catch up with the world's biggest steel producer Arcelor Mittal, owned by his elder brother L. N. Mittal. A fitness freak, Pramod is passionate about physical fitness and practices yoga for an hour every day. Yoga and business may not be symbiotic, but alacrity is, to both. With the kind of promptness, determination and tenacity that Pramod has been showing, he is sure to reach his steely resolve - sooner than corporate pundits think.
