Lheem, Managing Director, Hyundai Motor India, has been taking the same, giving the Korean auto giant a smooth ride in its projects, operations and market initiatives. For, here is a man who has successfully steered the course of Hyundai's growth in India. When Lheem joined Hyundai India, he brought with him the vast experience of handling the overseas business across the Globe; the strategies and the expertise, which are indispensable for launching a brand. An outspoken and dynamic leader of men and 'machine', Lheem has led Hyundai to heights, which no other foreign automaker has been able to tread single-handedly. Today, the Korean auto major is second only to the homegrown Maruti in the automobile segment in the country.

An Engineering Graduate from Yonsei University in Metallurgy, Lheem began his career with Hyundai Motors Company in 1973 at local parts development department. He headed for Overseas Operation in Canada in 1985. Later, He was given the duty to work as a Liason Officer in between Hyundai Motor Company and Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America in Los Angeles (U.S.A) in 1988 and used the opportunity to gain a lot of experience in Overseas Market. A man of such caliber was hard to ignore and because of his Managing skills and strategies in handling the Overseas Market, he was promoted as The Director in-charge for Overseas Export Project in 1995. After that he spent five years looking after the Overseas Export Service Operations. Since then he has never looked back and with his capabilities and strength he has been making Hyundai reach heights in the Western part of the globe. To strengthen the base of Hyundai in Western Globe Lheem was sent to Turkey to handle the operations in 2004, September and was promoted as The Managing Director to lead the Operations in Turkey. And now he is here to create a dream team here.

A committed soul who is known for his unflagging dedication, Lheem took the cudgel against international brands like General Motors and Ford, and carved out a niche for Hyundai in India. It's no wonder that today Lheem is considered the main architect of Hyundai's success in the country, who has elevated Hyundai to India's second largest car sellers. In fact, the lakhs of Hyundai cars that you see on Indian roads today is the result of Lheem's painstaking efforts. To achieve this, Lheem skillfully combined the emotions of Indian workers with the technology and discipline of the Korean giant. That's the reason why Lheem is called a leader of man and machine.
