Known for his maturity and adeptness at handling trying situations, Ghaisas has reached many a milestone within a very span of time.
A man of a great vision and a sharp mind, Ghaisas has carved a niche in the world of Information Technology in the country and has made i-flex a known brand abroad as well. Slowly but steadily he has matured as a corporate professional as few have been able to do and has played a pivotal role in shaping the chart of the IT industry in the country.
A key member of the core management team that has spearheaded the company's fortunes since it issued IPO in June 2002. Ghaisas has provided key software solutions to the banking sector and has kept i-flex ticking. Banking upon the smaller banks for the sale of the software packages, he has even made some strategic alliances with local players.
For a person who has been in the software industry since 1987, it has been a pretty long journey for this corporate man. Ghaisas joined as the Chief Financial Officer of i-flex Solutions Ltd., India, for its global operations in 1993, and since then has always been on the path of progress, thanks to his caliber and managerial skills. It was in 1997 that he became the Chief Executive Officer (India Operations), in addition to being the CFO.
The first ever Indian to win the CFO Asia Award in 2001, Ghaisas has helped his i-flex acquire an equity financing arrangement with Castek. The arrangement allowed i-flex to become the largest shareholder in the Canadian company.
Ghaisas is also the Executive Member of the NASSCOM Executive Council and has adorned the post of Vice President of the Maharashtra Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). He is also the Chairman of the IT Committee of CII and a member of the Committee of the Indian Institute of Bankers that was constituted for drafting the curriculum for Information System. Ghaisas' intellect has enabled him to become a member of the Internet Banking Committee of the Reserve Bank of India, which formulated guidelines on Internet banking and security in India. No doubt i-flex has found its place in the global IT providers' map thanks to the brilliant moves taken by this IT giant. |
